2024 Youth Mental Health First Aid Virtual Trainings
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an 8-hour course that teaches how to help youth who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. There are 2 hours of pre-work to be completed before the instructor-led session.
We offer a virtual YMHFA training quarterly; these trainings are identical, and participants should only register for one.
Dates: March 15 (register by February 26), May 17 (register by April 29), August 23 (register by August 5), November 15 (register by October 28)
Time: 9 am - 3 pm
Location: Virtual via Zoom
Cost: $40 (FREE to residents/employees of Gwinnett, Newton & Rockdale Counties)
**If you work or live in Gwinnett, Newton or Rockdale County and would like to participate in this training at no cost, enter the name of your applicable county as the discount code on the first registration page. Please note that you may be asked to provide proof.**
Participants will receive login information to complete the 2-hour self-study pre-work at least 1 week in advance of the training. Pre-work must be completed by 3 pm on the day before the training. This is a requirement to participate in the training.
Registration will close when our capacity limit of 20 participants has been met or at 5 pm on the above indicated dates (whichever comes first).
